糸を巻くための紙管を再利用してつくられた照明装置。役目を終え、廃棄されるはずだった紙管を一本ずつワイヤーで繋ぎ、内部に光を通すことで、かつて産業を支えた芯材が、やわらかな光の連なりとしてよみがえります。

This lighting installation is made from reused paper tubes originally used for winding thread—materials that would normally be discarded after their industrial use. By connecting each tube with wire and allowing light to pass through, the once-solid industrial cores are transformed into a delicate chain of soft illumination.

内部から透ける光は生産の痕跡を映し出し、昼は素材の質感を、夜は静かな灯りをまといます。廃材に新たな価値を与え、ものづくりの循環と再生、そして福井の地場産業に宿る「生産の美しさ」を照らし出す試みです。

The gentle light reveals traces of production from within: by day, the texture of the material; by night, a quiet glow. This work reimagines industrial waste as a renewed form of beauty, reflecting on cycles of making and regeneration while subtly illuminating the hidden craftsmanship of Fukui’s local industries.
