この計画は、ひとつの家屋を「ゲストハウス」と「住宅」という性質の異なる二つの空間へと再構成することから始まりました。
公共性が高く一時的に滞在するゲストハウスと、家族が長く暮らす私的な住宅では、求められる空間の質や時間のあり方が大きく異なります。
土地の記憶と職人の技を受け継ぎながら、公共と私的、滞在と生活を静かにつなぐ空間を目指しました。

This renovation reconfigures a single house into two distinct spaces: a guesthouse and a private residence.
While the guesthouse serves as a public, temporary place to stay, the residence is a long-term living space for a family. Each requires a different quality of space and a different sense of time.
By inheriting the memory of the land and the spirit of craftsmanship, the project gently connects public and private life, staying and living.
