隙間と避難
学習塾と住宅の間に学習塾の2階から避難するための階段を設けた。日常的に使うものではないため存在感を抑えつつ、緊急時にはストレスなく逃げられるよう見通しの良い作りにこだわった。防犯の目的を兼ねる扉は、開けると手すりが延長される仕様になっている。
Crevice and evacuation
A staircase was built between the private school and the residence for evacuation from the second floor of the private school. The design was focused on creating a clear line of sight to allow stress-free escape in case of emergency, while minimizing its presence since it is not used on a daily basis. The door, which also serves the purpose of security, is designed to have an extended railing when opened.
積雪
雪が積もらないようエキスパンドメタルを採用することで、積雪荷重を考慮する必要がなく、軽やかな見た目に仕上げることができた。鉛色の雪景色に馴染むような落ち着いたシルバー色の亜鉛メッキは、錆びにくく、メンテナンスが楽であることも利点である。
Snow
The use of expanded metal to prevent snow buildup eliminated the need to consider snow load and gave the building a light appearance. The subdued silver-colored zinc plating, which blends in with the lead-colored snowy landscape, is rust-resistant and easy to maintain.
独立柱
雨仕舞いと施工性の問題から、1本の柱によって建物から完全に独立した階段として成立している。基礎が少なくて済むことで、既存建物の隙間であっても周囲の設備機器との干渉を避け施工することに成功した。
A single pillar
Because of rainproofing and constructability issue, the staircase is completely independent from the building by a single pillar. By requiring only a small foundation, the project succeeded in avoiding interference with surrounding equipment, even in a gap between existing buildings.
