ホテル客室の改装計画。絵画コレクターであるオーナーの作品を各客室に飾ることを前提に、絵画を主役としたインテリアを計画した。窓のガラスを透明防火ガラスに入れ替え、城跡や水辺の風景を一枚の絵のように室内に取り込み、ブラインドで視界と光を調整している。築40年のホテルの荘厳な佇まいを背景に、内装はアメリカン・ミッドモダンを基調とし、4タイプの客室それぞれに適した家具を選定しながら、全体として統一感のある空間に仕上げた。

The interior design is centered around the owner’s painting collection, with artworks displayed in each guest room to create a gallery-like atmosphere that feels complete through the presence of art. The original wired glass was replaced with clear fire-rated glass, allowing views of the castle ruins and waterside scenery to be appreciated like framed paintings, while blinds control light and privacy. Although the 40-year-old hotel beside Fukui Castle retains a dignified architectural presence, the interiors adopt an American mid-century modern style, with furniture carefully selected for four room types to achieve a cohesive design throughout.
