ホテルの客室改修計画である。1人宿泊を前提に細かく仕切られていた既存の壁を撤去し、家族が長期滞在できる、ゆったりとした一室へと改修した。既存のコンクリート梁を避けるようにヴォールト状の天井を設え、間仕切り壁や家具によって、曲面が点在する空間構成を考えた。滞在する位置によって曲面の見え方が変化し、移動や滞在そのものが風景体験となる客室である。

This project is a renovation of a hotel guest room. The existing walls, originally subdivided for single-occupancy use, were removed to create a spacious room that can accommodate families for extended stays. A vault-shaped ceiling was introduced while avoiding the existing concrete beams, and curved surfaces were dispersed throughout the space through partition walls and furniture. Depending on where one stays or moves within the room, the perception of these curved surfaces changes, creating a guest room where the experience of space itself becomes part of the stay.
