この写真、雲がクジラのように見えませんか。

光の角度や風の流れ、空の広がり。
いくつもの条件が重なったとき、ただの雲が、ふとクジラの姿に見えてきます。
この写真を撮れたのも、そんな偶然の重なりでした。

私は、建築もそれに似ていると思っています。

建築は、何もないところから生まれるものではありません。
敷地の風景、光や風、周囲の環境、そしてそこに暮らす人の想い。
そうした要素が重なり合いながら、建築のかたちは少しずつ姿を現します。

大きな空に雲を思い浮かべるのはクライアントです。
私の仕事は、その雲がクジラなのかヒツジなのか、対話を重ねながら見つけていくことです。

このホームページをご覧いただいた偶然が、
これから生まれる建築のはじまりになれば嬉しく思います。

Do you see a whale in this cloud?

The angle of light, the movement of the wind, the openness of the sky.
When several conditions overlap, an ordinary cloud can suddenly appear as the shape of a whale.
The moment I captured this photograph was also the result of such coincidences.

I believe architecture is similar.

Architecture does not emerge from nothing.
The landscape of the site, light and wind, the surrounding environment, and the thoughts of the people who will live there.
As these elements overlap, the form of architecture gradually begins to appear.

It is the client who imagines a cloud in the wide sky.
My role is to explore, through dialogue, whether that cloud is a whale, a sheep, or perhaps something else entirely.
